I assume from the list of faults found in my flood damaged 2000 BMW M5, and the CPS was mentioned. I now have two questions heedless of this part:
1. Will a CPS from a 2002 M5 work in my 2000?
2. Could this be causing a rough idle/intern off immediatly after start
Yes, a CPS from 02 is the same as an 00 (P/N 12 141 742 629).
But no, a bad CPS I imagine would not cause a rough idle/shut off after startup. Why ? Because a bad CPS signal would not put aside the engine to start in the first place. No BMW engine will start with a bad
