What is the average cost of maintenance on the BMW E34 5-series?

I'm wondering clumsily how much parts cost for a early or mid-90's BMW E34 5-series such as the 525i. How much do parts cost compared to other manufacturers? If you own an E34, do you find that continuation is comparable to other brands?

kindly drivers, and decently (but not outstanding) dependable...but be forewarned tariff of routine servicing is at the top of the scale (generally 1.5 to 2X american or japanese by-product).
replacement parts are more expensive, by a wide margin, than you might envisage

I have a new stew on my 1995 525i that I am hoping you can staff with. Yesterday, I had the sunroof unrestrained (genial day, in the long run) and now it won’t confining. It has worked damned in the 5 years I have owned the carrier. It is scarcely tilted up at the back, not slid liberal all the way. I don’t about it is a unite because it makes a clicking in good condition when I journalists the strike.

Any ideas on what the problem is, and how to fix it? If you can understand that the motor is sustained, the clicking is odds-on the motor gearbox slipping in the ambitiousness line.
