My power steering pump appears to of died on my 2005 Mini Cooper. Are knotty things to replace? Anyone have a price estimate?

From some angles the Mini Coupe works. From side-on, it looks – to these eyes at least – nothing but odd. Then again, being noticed is all part of the Mini thing. Our test car was a Roadster in the top level JCW (or John Cooper Works) piping.
