i have a 1982 chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 with a docile frame but has all new parts . i have also a 1ton 2wd 1986 truck is it possible to convert into 4x4 with 3/4 trip terrain

First off what is all new parts and why did someone introduce them on a truck that the frame was ready to break in?
