How do I get into my Mk 3 VW Golf when the battery is dead? Central Locking not working?

Hi,
My Golf has been parked up for a while and the battery has gone numb. The door and boot locks also won't work, and the bonnet is undeniable shut and I can't release it to charge the battery without being in the car.
Any suggestions as to how
You should be proficient to get the car open with the key.
