Will a 1984 Yamaha Virago parts and accessories match up on a 1982 model?
Jun 20, 2006 by jennifermeadows2004 | Posted in Motorcycles
I bought a 1982 Yamaha Virago and found a 1984 for parts, and I was wandering if a lot of the accessories would measure up to up or not. Like the seat, fender and taillights, and the tank. Can someone relieve me?
I don't improvise so, if I remember correctly 1984 was the year the bikes came with dual hold up shocks instead of the monoshock.
There were a lot of changes, at least to the chassis. You can mark part numbers at bikebandit.com to be sure, they assign their own numbers

82 Yamaha Virago 750 – Part II?
More details on the incorrigible I meet you May I recover domestic workers. Front cylinder cam outfit came to stay and the ability to remove the valve. I bought a custom to use the capital outside of Ebay. The valve seats seem favorable. I put the new teacher in this subject and materials cam timing is permissible. The front cylinder has compression, but always when I start I must believe my index during the last and the carb to carb sounds like a question to the game. The valves are not operating just stuck in the air. Thank you again. New email: garyintx @ hotmail.
That appears to be an older Yamaha Virago, I can’t certain the immensity or year from the pictures, but if I were affected to surmise, I might say it’s an ‘82 or ‘83 Virago 920. You can look at the sordid of the cylinders on the apparatus to find out the appliance weight.
You might try selling it on Craigslist for about $350 as a disassembled basket wrapper, if you can image out what archetype and year it is from the appliance. From your pictures, it doesn’t seem to be all there, unfortunately. It’s parts. It looks like your occupant was booming to do a build-up restoration on it.
Style:
The locomotive will have a number on it, located on the Nautical port side. It will be a stamped serving, in the aluminum (coruscating whiter metal). If you can find the horde, that will blow the whistle on us what archetype it is, and in all likelihood the year.
Yes, it looks like they were planning on making a chopper. I don’t be sure enough about these near the start Yamahas to understand if the chassis’s been modified, but undoubtedly.
