It's not the compound that is causing the lighter to stop working, and it's not the charging gimmick that is causing the fuse to keep blowing; I've tried many different charging devices and no business what I plug in, the fuse blows! So I want to replace the socket but am struggling

you have to get to the back of the socket and there is a sleeve that twists off to be capable to take it out, you will have to take off whatever panel you have to to get to the back of the socket.
