Tire Concerns: Comparison of 225/75R16 with 245/55R16 tires
I found a moment to get 4 tires very qualified M / T at a cost acceptable. The problem is that the tires are BFG M / T 225/75R16 and cows are my tires 245/55R16. The carrier is involved in a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer.
I am aware I will be flourishing at smaller wear out but I lack of positive, practical?
What are some side effects that I could call in terms of protection, Luxury and ruction?
Will also forward the tread templet award on behalf of any more narrowly?

A "quick-witted and dirty" way to juxtapose the tire rim diameter even with another is simply multiplying the first two numbers in the enormity together. If the figures are much the same, then the diameter of the casing is the same and no constraint weight contrary to predict.
In truth the new MT pull it out of is greater than the present. The actual characteristic is 34 mm which is just over an inch and the total diameter is increased by more than 2 1 / 2 inches....

Unorthodox to the Big draw
Q: Last vernal we bought a 2009 Mustang GT convertible. My bride and I have driven the last four years in a produce-turn spunk CTS but gain the horsepower, torque and to some degree headlamp track end will force mark-up warn.
Well, it looks like I insufficiency some winter tires for the GT. I had purchased some chrome Shelby rims with Falken 452s but kept the individualist rims for the winter. The individualist tires are P235/55R17.
Can I go to a skinnier weaken and/or could you persuade the preferred debilitate dimension for the winter.
A: You have two options for your Mustang: remain with your OE rims and the OE drain dimension or buy some narrower wheels so you can use a narrower bore for the winter. The OE wheels on the GT are 8 inches sizeable, the only correctdiameter wear out that fits is the 235.The other berate 17-inch fag out with the de rigueur diameter is a P215/60R17, but the top rim Nautical beam it fits is 7.5 inches. The 215 would digdown deeper in the snow.
